Richland County’s youngest music fans are getting two chances to turn up the volume this November. Jam Room Foundation and Richland Library are teaming up to present PB&Jam, a new partnership bringing two-time Grammy-nominated Divi Roxx Kids to the community for two free, family-friendly concerts.

Divi Roxx Kids will take the stage at noon on Saturday, Nov. 14, opening the free Jam Room Music Festival at Finlay Park with an outdoor performance on a stage near the park’s playground. On Sunday, Nov. 15, families can experience the band in a more intimate setting with a second free performance from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Richland Library Sandhills.

Led by bassist, composer, and recording artist Divinity Roxx, Divi Roxx Kids brings a full band and an interactive mix of hip-hop, funk, jazz, and rock that encourages kids and families to sing, dance, and experience live music together.

Before creating Divi Roxx Kids, Roxx toured with five-time Grammy Award-winning bassist Victor Wooten and later served as bassist and musical director for Beyoncé. Her work in family music has earned two Grammy nominations, including a Best Children’s Music Album nomination for her debut family album, “Ready Set Go!” Roxx also composed, produced, and performed the theme song for the PBS Kids series “Lyla in the Loop.”

Through PB&Jam, Jam Room Foundation and Richland Library are creating more opportunities for children and families to experience live music together.
