Tortoise

Formed in Chicago in 1990, Tortoise is renowned as American pioneers of the post-rock genre. With seven full-length studio albums under their belt, they've been recognized for their significant contributions to the city's jazz and improvised music scenes. Multi-instrumentalist John McEntire and jazz figure Jeff Parker are among the notable members, making Tortoise a powerhouse of musical talent.

Adia Victoria

Hailing originally from South Carolina, Adia Victoria is a rising star who recently completed a tour with Pulitzer Prize winner Rhiannon Giddens. Her albums, such as 'Silences' (2019) and 'Southern Gothic' (2021), have garnered critical acclaim, securing her a prominent position in the music world.

jaron marshall and the collective

JaRon Marshall, based in Austin, is not only the DJ-in-residence at Austin Proper but also the talented keyboardist for the six time GRAMMY nominated psychedelic soul band, Black Pumas. His music prowess and unique style have made him a notable figure in the Austin music scene.

J. Robbins (band)

J. Robbins, the former bassist for Government Issue and leader of Jawbox, has led multiple bands and boasts over 900 album credits from his diverse roles in performing, producing, and engineering. His vast experience and collaborations in the music industry make him a force to be reckoned with.

Devon Kay & The Solutions

Originating from Chicago, Devon Kay & The Solutions are making waves in the music scene, especially with their recent signing to Bad Time Records. Currently touring with renowned bands like Less Than Jake and The Toasters, they're a band on the rise.

Trigger

Trigger is an avant-garde rock trio comprised of Will Greene (guitar) Simon Hanes (bass) and Aaron Edgcomb (drums). With roots in noise, improvisation, and hardcore, Trigger focuses on intense rhythmic interplay that can shift on a dime to long paced textural development, always driven by a unique unrelenting energy.

Throttlerod

South Carolina / Virginia’s Throttlerod resurfaces to honor the 20th anniversary of their Small Stone Record’s debut Hell and High Water which was the turning point in Throttlerod’s time and sound. Coinciding with the move from Columbia, SC to Richmond, VA after extensive touring supporting their initial release, Hell and High Water was a more focused and driven record.

Bedlam Hour

Hailing from South Carolina and leaving a lasting impact since the 1980s, Bedlam Hour is renowned for their distinct positive hardcore sound, highlighted by hits like "Grey Sweater" and their dynamic live shows. After taking a break post-1995, the band, under the guidance of Chuck Walker, has resurfaced with their new album "Win A Billion Dollars!", showcasing a blend of their classic punk rock ethos and the depth of their musical journey over the years.

Homemade Haircuts

Emerging from Charleston and originally formed during their undergraduate years at the University of South Carolina, Homemade Haircuts has undergone a transformative evolution in their sound. Initially a project for frontmen Bob Magee and Evan Delp to learn music production and songwriting, the band has now expanded its horizons with the addition of drummer and bassist Blake Hunter. Their debut album, "Sun Showers," showcases a shift from laid-back bedroom pop to a more dynamic indie-rock sound, reminiscent of local indie rock heroes like Band of Horses or Susto.

Leone and the Ascension

Singer and performer Leone is the blast from the past we didn't know we all needed. His debut EP, Angst (2019), was hailed as a "very impressive debut" and deemed to be "the funkadelic throwback to a beloved bygone era." His melodious vocals and clever flow has been compared to artists of the past and present such as Curtis Mayfield, Anderson .Paak, Bootsy Collins and Blood Orange. A healthy serving of funk, soul, R&B, with a splash of house, this singer-songwriter is a powerful force to be reckoned with.
