Kevin Barnes, the visionary behind of Montreal, has long bent gender and genre with radical, ever delightful records. Now, after years in Athens, Georgia, they’ve relocated to Vermont, where Lady On The Cusp captures their journey of personal and musical transformation, blending past reckoning with hopeful, kaleidoscopic pop.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Shake the Sheets, Ted Leo will perform the standout 2004 album in full. Ted Leo blends politics, art, punk values, and humor in his music, resonating globally. After years in the punk underground, 2004 marked his breakout with the critically acclaimed Hearts of Oak. Following extensive touring, Ted crafted Shake The Sheets, a fresh and passionate album produced by Chris Shaw, showcasing his evolving songwriting and cultural critique. 

Raleigh’s Truth Club made an immediate impact when their debut LP Not An Exit was released in 2019. The impressive set of tense, brooding post-punk tracks established them as an exciting new voice, landing them on Stereogum’s 2019 list of Best New Bands, where they were praised as “the wistful, nervy relatives of indie rock’s past and present.”

The follow-up, Running From The Chase, out now on Double Double Whammy, brings a sense of curiosity, commitment, and experimentation to the band’s process. Recorded at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, NC, Running From the Chase is an album that’s sweeping and sophisticated, balancing considered introspection with a stunning, expansive sound.

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is a Grammy-winning, internationally touring family funk phenomenon. Blending hip hop with surreal storytelling, Skidoo creates vibrant, imaginative music for all ages. With a decade and a half of global performances, including headlining major festivals, Skidoo’s work has earned numerous accolades, including a Grammy for “Best Children’s Recording.”

Self-produced artist PATx fuses Hip-Hop and Alternative to create an unapologetic sound. Pat wears tactical gear and masks in his visuals and live performances as a physical representation of raging against internal struggles and fighting adversity. He also uses his music to address topics ranging from mental illness to introspection and self-improvement.

Charleston-based band Daddy’s Beemer (comprising lead vocalist/guitarist Brady Sklar, guitarist Bob Magee, bassist Wesley Heaton, and drummer Payton Kutyla) formed in 2016 at Clemson University, where they soon established their brand of dreamy, buoyant indie rock. Influences from across the pond like Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks and The Cure mingled with the likes of REM and even Frank Ocean to form a left-field melting pot across their first EPs, Daddy’s Beemer (2017) and Pucker (2018). Meanwhile, they forged their identity on the road, playing over 200 shows since their inception and heading as far afield as New York and SXSW, all while building a rock-solid base in their home state of South Carolina.

As a live performer and session musician, Moses Andrews III is a mainstay in Columbia SC’s music scene, bringing soul and wit to any genre. His latest solo endeavor, “Back in the Daze”, is a smooth rumination on liquid courage, landing somewhere between Robert Glasper and Thundercat.

Today Is the Day is an American noise rock and experimental metal band that originally formed in Nashville, Tennessee. The band’s diverse sound combines influences from areas such as noise music, avant-garde metal, grindcore, post-hardcore, and alternative rock among other genres. Most of the band’s recordings make extensive use of dissonance and sampling, as well as unusual production techniques and psychedelic overtones. 

MIDS was originally formed in 2019 and released an EP of heavier sounding, fusion tinged tunes that same year before an almost five year hiatus. In 2024 the band was reborn as a quintet featuring well known SC musicians Roger Caughman, Jon Warf, Michael Crawford, Cam Powell & Dylan Dickerson. July of ‘24 saw the arrival of the debut MIDS record titled ‘MISSION ACCOMPLISHED’. This collection of lobotomized punk classics set a new standard for what the band is capable of and has generally been met with high praise. The band is currently performing live in support of ‘MISSION ACCOMPLISHED’ and writing / recording a follow up release that will likely be released in the fall of 2024.
